El Yunque National Forest, Puerto Rico
This incredible jungle, which used to be known as the Caribbean National Forest, is the only tropical rainforest with in the United States National Forest System. Home to a huge number of incredible species of flora and fauna, this rain forest is a trekker's paradise with over 35km of paths to explore. And the best thing about it is that it is only a 45 min car ride from Puerto Rico's capital!
