As the winter holidays approach, ski resorts are preparing to welcome thousands of visitors to the slopes. Seeing as France is famed for its magnificent skiing destinations, it can sometimes be difficult to decide between the many different fantastic resorts. To help make that choice a little bit easier, we have selected the 10 most beautiful resorts to help you plan your next ski holiday

    L'Alpe d'Huez

    This is famously home to the Sarenne, the longest black diamond run in the world. Its starting point, located at an altitude of almost 110,000 feet (3,330 metres) at the top of Mont Blanc, offers a view over nearly one-fifth of the country of France! In addition to this very impressive slope, Alpe d'Huez has a whopping 250 kilometres of ski slopes, accessible to both amateur and experienced skiers.
