    Nothing beats celebrating an Irish festival in its country of origin. In Ireland St. Patrick's Day is a national holiday thus everyone will be celebrating from dusk till dawn. From colourful street carnivals to bustling parades, travelers can join Ireland's national celebration of identity, culture and arts. In the evening, you can take a stroll through the capital and admire the city's building illuminated in green. You can also visit an Irish graft beer market, learn some Irish dancing at the festival Céilí or watch the Irish university boat races on the Liffey river.

    New York's St. Patrick's Day Parade is the world's largest St. Patrick's Day parade with more than 150.000 participants. You can join the March on Fifth Avenue and pass by New York Tourist attractions such as St Patrick's Cathedral and Central Park. suggests staying at the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. Here you will be only a 10-minute walk from Central Park. On St Patrick's Morning you can also expect a traditional Irish breakfast at the hotel.

    The second largest St Patrick's Day celebration is in London, it expects around 100,000 people each year. Visit the many traditional Irish pubs found in the capital of the UK that offer delicious feasts and of course plenty of Guinness will be available too. The annual parade usually starts at Piccadilly and passes by famous attractions such as the Ritz and Piccadilly Circus, which sometimes are illuminated in green. If you're after a classier beverage on St Paddy's Day then visit the Green Bar, just outside Piccadilly Station.
