Hammamet is a highly-prized tourist destination. Although debatebly it has lost some of its originality, the city still attracts large numbers of visitors who you will see wandering in the medina or along its ramparts. The beaches, invaded by swarms of visitors all year round are pleasant, clean and sheltered. Climb to the summit of the ramparts for a breathtaking view of the port. Finally, take some time off in one of the cafés of the medina to drink a cup of mint tea or smoke a hookah.
