Travel to Kampala - beautiful and historic scenery

  • Kampala is a modern city that is particularly rich in services. Unlike other African capitals, it's hard to think of a reason not to come here!

Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, has grown tremendously within the past fifteen years since the end of the civil war. It is the symbol of African success and therefore travel to Kampala is fairly safe. It holds a few religious buildings in the city centre, such as Tibuli's mosque, Rubaga's gigantic cathedral, Namirembe's cathedral and an immense Hindu temple. You shouldn't miss a visit to the tombs of Ssekabaka, on Kasubi hill, which are one of the Baganda people's sanctuaries, or to the botanical gardens located in Entebbe, 20 miles south of Kampala.
