The first ski resort of the Gulf opened in 2005. It has 5 tracks, with various degrees of difficulty, the hardest being 1,300 feet long. The temperature is -1°C, the artificial snow cracks under your feet, the sky is grey as if in winter, but you are looking straight at the Mall of the Emirates. If you do not try skiing, then use a sledge: you will arrive at the window of the restaurant facing the slope. On the practical side, the equipment is lent when you get there (from skis to clothing). Most Emirati come here to feel the temperatures. Some even decide to not wear the gloves so they can feel the cold.
