Discover Arghatirourke United Kingdom

The spectacular mountain scenery at Arghatirourke draws visitors from far. Part of the Cuilcagh Mountain World Geopark, a stretch of limestone grassland borders a habitat of blanket bog to the north, whereas the south is primarily heathland. Visitors may be lucky enough to spot the odd dipper, which nestle near the two streams, while, when in flower, the limestone grassland adds a touch of colour to the rocky terrain. Nature aficionados should visit in spring and summer, as there is little to sea in the way of wildlife during the winter period.

It should be noted that the exposed environment means that the hike itself should only be attempted by more experienced climbers.
