Discover Glens of Antrim United Kingdom

The Glens of Antrim boast a beautiful landscape which recalling the area's heritage of subsistence farming. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the nine Glens are also an important source of spring water. The Causeway Coastal Route runs through the Glens, enabling both cyclists and walkers to fully appreciate rural life away from the bustle of Belfast.

The North coast is also the location of perhaps Northern Ireland's most famous tourist attraction and UNESCO Heritage Site, the Giant's Causeway: approximately 40 000 columns of basalt, the remarkable product of an ancient volcanic eruption. In many ways, the myth is more believable than the reality: by one account, an Irish giant responded to a challenge to a duel from his Scottish counterpart by building the causeway so that they could meet.
