Discover Isle of Eigg United Kingdom

Just one of the small isles of the Inner Hebrides - Rum, Muck, Canna, Iona, Staffa, Coll and Tiree are all discernible for their historical and natural characteristics - the Isle of Eigg is valued by many for its mottled habitat. Situated off the Northwest coast of Scotland, Eigg is unmatched for its harmonious display of coast, woodland, moorland and farmland, all of which provide a rich habitat for a range of wildlife.

Surprisingly diverse for its size, the isle provides year-round spectacular views, though the best times to visit vary according to one's interests. The Scottish Wildlife Trust recommends visiting in May and June for birds and spring flora and in July and September for minke whales. Puffins and basking sharks are also frequently sighted here.
