Composed of gypsum crystals, these sand dunes in New Mexico stretching over a total of 275 mi2 are among the whitest on the plant. From far away, they could easily be mistaken for stretches of salt or snow. Their white colour contrasts with the blue of the sky and the green of the numerous shrubs dotted here and there. This enchanting landscape, like something from another world, is sure to delight travellers who have to come to lose themselves in the Chihuahuan Desert.
