As Nunavut is such a huge territory, the climate can vary significantly from one place to another. Temperatures can reach the 30Cs in summer in the warmest areas of Nunavut, like Kuglutuk (located in the centre of the region, close to the mountains of the Arctic Cordillera), and can drop to as low as -50C in winter, like in Grise Fiord (much further north, close to Greenland). If you plan on visiting Iqaluit, the capital situated in the east of the region, in July or August, the average temperature will be somewhere between 5C and 10C.
