Weather Forecast in East Timor

The country is in the equatorial region and has two distinct seasons (the dry and rainy seasons) and three given climatic zones. The rugged landform and closeness of the Australian continent create localized weather conditions. The climate in the north is semi-arid and average temperatures are 23°C. The extremely harsh dry season continues for four months, from July to October, before the rain falls during the rainy season from December to April.
There are heavy rains in the mountains (in the centre) during the rainy season and average temperatures are below 24 °C.
As for the south, which is very wet and windswept by the Australian winds, it has a three-month dry season and a seven-month rainy season between December and June. Average temperatures are largely above 24°C. The month of November, the hottest month, marks the transition between the two seasons in the three zones. Average temperatures range between 22 °C and 34 °C and the best season to come here is between June and September.
