Weather Forecast in Kerala

There are three main seasons in India: winter, summer and the monsoon season.
The winter season, from November to March, is the best time to go to Kerala. Temperatures vary on average between 25 and 30C, and it's about 15C at night.
In the summer, from March to late May, the heat becomes overwhelming and around the end of May/beginning of June, the first signs of the rainy season start to appear with high levels of humidity and short and violent thunderstorms. The western Ghats remain tempered by a cool climate.
As for the rainy season, it lasts until the end of September and temperatures drop dramatically. Generally speaking, avoid travelling during this season as you may have trouble moving around with flights often being cancelled and roads and railway lines cut off. Between October and November, a second rainy season brings rainfall from the northeast - often accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and at night.
