Weather Forecast in Peru

It is hard to give a general overview of the climate in Peru due to the diverse landscape. In the Andes, for example, the weather is relatively cool and dry, yet with more rain in January and February. On the coast, the weather is temperate and great for tourists wanting a summer holiday as it almost never rains during high season (April to November). The Amazon (like most rainforests) is tropical, hot and humid. If you plan on travelling to the Amazon, it is best to do so in high season as low season (December - March) often sees torrential rains. The Peruvian seasons are the same as all countries in the southern hemisphere:
Spring: September 23 to December 21.
Summer: December 22 to March 21.
Autumn: March 22 to June 21.
Winter: June 22 to September 22.
