Discover Matopos National Park Zimbabwe

Of all the panoramas offered by Zimbabwe's national parks, those offered by Matopos National Park are definitely the most impressive. Landscapes sculpted through millions of years of wind, rain and heat, a huge mass of sandstone has gradually been transformed into a strange pile of huge rocks, held together as if by magic and interlaced with vast green plains. Other than its geology, two other aspects characterise the park: a varied fauna, including 300 species of bird including the Cape Eagle-owl, falcon or black Verreaux's eagle, as well as cave paintings proving the existence of Sans (Bochimans) 40,000 years ago.
