Hotel Kasbah Le Mirage

The Kasbah Le Mirage is located 2 miles from the entrance of Marrakech and 7 miles from the Jemma El Fna square, namely 25 minutes by car. It is located in the village of Oulad Messaoud, built on the banks of the Oued Tansift, facing the Palmeraie Marrakesh and the snowy peaks of the Atlas range. Four regular shuttles provide free daily round to the Kasbah district of Post Guélize.

Approximately fifteen years ago in Morocco, Jean-Pierre and Nadia, the owners of the Kasbah Le Mirage, launched the quad. During their strolls, they discovered the village of Oulad Messaoud, a popular place where caravans used to pass. Sitting in the café to have a cup of tea and eat pancakes, they had the idea of buying the place and turning it into a restaurant. Then, gradually, they decided that the café would become a riad, as well as a charming hotel and a club. The construction of the Kasbah Le Mirage has enabled the village to install water, electricity and telephone lines. Today, Oulad Messaoud has a school and a mosque. Two trained entertainers will soon offer various sports activities such as aqua aerobics and stretching. As for the fitness centre, we are waiting for it to opening.
The Kasbah Le Mirage is located outside the city centre but offers a sumptuous setting for spending wonderful moments in nature and in complete peace. In addition to the club activities, notably quad-biking, camel riding and climbing, themed excursions are often offeres : the Ourika valley, with the discovery of the waterfalls, searching for fossils with a hammer, meeting the local people, or the Ouzoute waterfalls on the back of a mule with a picnic by the river...

The main entrance to the Kasbah Le Mirage leads us directly to the large swimming pool, where a bar and highchairs are arranged in the water. Just behind, a beautiful spa, with bay windows and a terrace overlooking the Atlas range (not yet opened). The decoration of the rooms, the restaurant, the bar and the lounge is traditional, finely polished in a vintage style, dressed in tadelakt on the walls, zelliges on the floor ... On the roof of the hotel, a terrace overlooks a large open sun lounge with a Jacuzzi, a bar and a Moorish café. At the foot of the hotel, a green park extends over 53820ft² and offers many activities : quad-bike, camelriding, mountain biking, climbing, archery, rifle shooting, volleyball, football, basketball (multisports field), beach volleyball, table tennis, petanque ...

The hotel has 27 rooms, including a suite with a Jacuzzi and fireplace, as well as a family room. The rooms, about 269 ft², each named after spices, are arranged around two patios that are bright and flowered with cacti. Some rooms are south-facing and enjoy a unique view onto the Atlas chain, the others overlook the palm grove or Tensift Oued. The rooms are very comfortable, equipped with a bathroom, a toilet, air conditioning and heating. They are decorated with traditional materials such as tadelakt and bejmat. The beams are made of eucalyptus trees and reeds. The rooms have no television (for this, you have to go to the bar : video, DVD), or mini bar, or telephone. The idea here is a return to basics and all of your requests are met at the reception or via room-service, which operates 24 hours a day. All rooms have a safe.

The main restaurant offers a menu of Moroccan specialties, such as mechoui or tangia (meat cooked in steam for hours with chickpeas). It also offers the opportunity to enjoy international cuisine if the customer requests it. It offers a variety of beverages, including foreign wines. The finely polished decoration is a little dazzling. Here, you will admire a first ceiling made of tataoui (branches of laurel were assembled one by one), another ceiling made of straw and eucalyptus. Magnificent doors of cedar frame the rooms. The door of a riad made of carved cedar serves as a table ... The restaurant is surrounded by a lounge and a bar, one with a fireplace and the other with a fountain and a home cinema installation. You may also dine outdoors, on the terrace, offering a unique view of the Palmeraie and the Atlas range. The large panoramic terrace has a bar, a barbecue and a Moorish café under a Berber tent, where you can taste tea and coffee from around the World.
