Practical information

👉 When should you go shopping in Boston?

You can come all year round, as the shops are open 12 months a year. The shopping on offer is insane and can keep you here for a long time, provided you have budgeted for it! The decorations change with the seasons. In winter, for example, the Christmas decorations are magnificent and add a touch of magic that children really enjoy. Don't miss the sales periods, ideal times for bargains.

🚌 How do I get around central Boston?

The city is very well served by public transport, with the metro and bus weaving an efficient network. There are numerous metro and bus stations in these lively areas of downtown Boston. Finally, there are preferential fares and passes depending on the time spent there. The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority coordinates the bus and metro networks. Coming by car is clearly not the best solution. Parking spaces are prohibitively expensive and you'll certainly have to use one of the underground car parks.
