3-day itinerary in Porto with children

Although the idea of a city break weekend will appeal more to adults than to children, Porto is a city that can also appeal to children, with an itinerary, activities and visits tailored to them. Children are welcome in Porto, and under-4s can travel free on public transport. As in many cities, Porto's museums offer free admission for children or reduced rates, and if you're eating out, you'll find children's menus or meais doses (half portions).

This is a great opportunity for families to visit the Sea Life Porto aquarium, the Puppet Museum and the Lello bookshop, as well as Foz do Douro, its beaches and wide pedestrian walkways for cycling and scootering. In summer, you can swim in the seawater pool at Leça da Palmeira. There's never a dull moment in Porto.
