Madrid is the capital of Spain, which explains why it is such a cultural place, and definitely is well worth visiting. You probably won’t even have enough time given the amount of things to visit, from The Plaza Mayor, The Royal Palace, The Royal Theatre, The Prado Museum, The Botanical Gardens and the Reina Sofia National Museum and Art Centre. But you won’t get bored at night either, since there are a lot of things to do, from going out partying, going to the theatre, and so on.
Going out in Spain’s capital city is probably the best if you want to have a great time with your friends, as there are plenty of options in terms of bars and discos. Madrid's nightlife is very lively, and each neighbourhood offers a different atmosphere. For instance, Salamanca is more chic, Malasaña more trendy, while the Gran Vía and Puerta del Sol areas are probably the most lively and therefore the most crowded places, but great to meet new people. And if you are looking for a club, head to the Barceló Theatre, which is a very popular place to go dancing for young people.
