Built in 2003, the Grand Hyatt is no fewer than 16 floors' worth of impressive magnificence, both inside and out, and the vast, high-ceilinged reception area is certainly no exception. On entering the hotel, you won't believe your eyes, as you take in the imitation jungle, complete with a labyrinth of plants, trees and fountains, as well as an artificial river with a small bridge running across it. Guests can also enjoy live piano music here from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Of the several towers which form the hotel, one is exclusively occupied by the hotel's 186 apartments, whilst another two house the standard rooms. The final tower is home to the convention centre, although guests are welcome to use the very well equipped business centre here. The various swimming pools at the resort are all supervised. The main one, a large, impressive lagoon-pool, incorporates small bridges and artificial rocks and is surrounded by bars, lawned areas, walkways, flowers, palm trees, frangipani trees and various other tree species. Thick-cushioned wooden deckchairs are also provided, though more athletic guests might be more interested in the 1476-ft landscaped running track. The large children's club in the hotel gardens consists of four parts and is sheltered from the rest of the lush green communal area. Depending on their age and interests, your little darlings will have the opportunity to watch films, play on the computers provided or even play games outside, and there is also a large beach-style children's pool for them to enjoy (although there is no sand!). In another area, a large, open house with water jets should give any little daredevils plenty of opportunity to let off steam! The children's club facilities are also open to non-residents who come to dine at the hotel. As far as sports facilities are concerned, there is certainly plenty of choice here, with 4 tennis courts, 2 squash courts and even a large 24-hour gym with all the latest equipment. The latter is incorporated into the large and very stylish spa area, which has separate sections for men and women. With low lighting, soft music and an impeccable blue mosaic jacuzzi, sauna and hammam, you will be thoroughly relaxed by the time you leave. You don't even have to traipse through the rest of the hotel to get here, as there is a lift providing direct access to the spa from the guest rooms. The largest indoor pool in the area (66 ft-long) is also right here, just a few feet away, under a large glass roof.
