The Hotel Aziyade is located in the area of Gedikpasa, a 10 minutes walk from the Grand Bazar, the esplanade of Sultanahmet and the fishing area of Kumkapi. The airport is 9 miles away. Allow about 20 minutes for transfers.
The rooms are simple and functional. They are clean and painted in red. They have air-conditioning and satellite television, a telephone with direct line, mini-bar and safe. The bathrooms, tiled in salmon marble, are equipped with a bathtub, toilet and a hair-dryer. Room service means you can eat in your room 24 hours a day (snack menu).
Opened in 1998, the Aziyade is a building with 105 rooms set over 7 floors (with elevators). The lobby is large and decorated with furniture and colours that recall the Ottoman era. On the first floor there is a nice little oriental salon, decorated with paintings of fruits and flowers, where you can have a Turkish tea. Next to it there is one computer with Internet access available to the hotel's residents. A small relaxation centre has been set up in the basement. There you will find a nice little hammam, clean and bright, decorated with little frescos and tiled in the traditional green and blue colours.
The hotel's panoramic restaurant, which is glazed, offers buffet breakfast and dinner. There you can also have lunch a la carte with a choice of different Turkish and international dishes: soups, mezes, omelettes, pasta, salads, grills and desserts. The wine list is limited to some local vintages. The buffet and cuisine are standard and unoriginal. Too bad that there are no pleasant surprises! Breakfast can be taken between 7 am and 10 am and dinner between 7 pm and 10 pm. Lunch is only possible if there are sufficient numbers of people between noon and 2 pm.
Request the rooms vith a sea view: even if the view is far from unforgettable, at least you are away from the street noise.

The Hotel Hilton in Istanbul offers all the standard comfort of large business hotels, but this place is also suitable for tourists and anyone who wants high-quality services. It is rare in Istanbul to find a hotel with a large landscaped garden.
Located close to the business quarter and the best bars and nightclubs in Istanbul, the Intercontinental Ceylan offers all the services of a top international hotel. A practical and comfortable place with no unpleasant surprises.
Strange mixture! The Divan offers modernism and the services of a large hotel in a slightly 70's atmosphere. A functional, comfortable address a few minutes' walk from Taksim Square.
Not far from Taksim, the Point hotel is a beautiful modern hotel with great comfort and beautiful spaces.
This is a discreet little place at the very heart of Taksim, the city's business district.
With its fine restaurant and pleasant staff, the Feronya primarily attracts business travellers, though it is also a good place for a perfectly pleasant getaway.
Nevertheless, a good bit of renovations wouldn't go amiss, particularly where the rather gloomy communal areas are concerned.
The style of the Nippon is elegant and designer, its common areas and guest rooms decorated with simplicity and character.
The hotel opened some ten years ago, but it has kept a youthful and energetic atmosphere, taking advantage of its small size and its location to attract a mixed clientele: a perfect establishment for holidaymakers but also well equipped to cater for those travelling to the area on business, the Nippon is the ideal establishment for a stay in the capital.
Located in the lively area of Aksaray, Ant hotel is close to the city's main historical monuments. It is also very conveniently located for public transport.
Efficiency and style are undeniable features of the Midtown Hotel.
Located in the heart of the Taksim district, this hotel, which caters to a large business clientele, appears to easily meet the various requirements of its guests.
This hotel is a pleasant place to stay for several reasons, one of which is the welcome afforded to its guests.
If you have the opportunity (and luck), ask for the Corner Suite: this is definitely the best room in the hotel.
As its name indicates, the Sumahan on the Water is a little world on the water. Inside, it displays a balance of lines and shapes that create a modern style and is never cold. This is a bit of a surprise given the exterior aspect of the building, which management wanted to keep as nondescript as possible.
This effort to go unnoticed speaks of the attention afforded to the guests, in terms of welcome, service, and cuisine. The Sumahan blends luxury and attention to detail together with know-how, efficiency, good taste, and quality.
It also commands one of the finest views of the Bosphorus there is. It really is in a league of its own.
This is a prestigious hotel offering the services of large European hotels combined with oriental charm. The setting is incredibly romantic, making the Ciragan Palace an ideal location for any honeymoon and all types of celebration. It is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Istanbul.
Like the phoenix, the Çiragan Palade has risen from the ashes to produce a high-ranking and very charming hotel. An exceptional location by the Bosphorus in order to stay in the same place where sultans lived.
The Four Seasons is indisputably the most charming place in Istanbul. Nothing is left to chance in this old restored prison: neither decor, nor service. An excellent place to enjoy top-class service in the heart of one of the most beautiful historical sites in the old town.
This luxury hotel is of a very good standing. This hotel is made for those seeking excellent comfort as well as numerous and impeccable services. Its only downside is the distant location.
An elegant, quality international hotel for business people and holidaymakers. Great food too.
