    Location 5.94 /10

    14/20
The Luna Park is a very basic hotel that stands on the corner of an astonishing little square. It is just next to rue Oberkampf, brimming with bars and restaurants, and bathing in a festive atmosphere, but the little square is a much more relaxed and tranquil place. Guests will feel as though they're in a village square here, surrounded by cafés and the odd tree. When the weather is nice, it fills up with people who sit at the tables of the café, or even on the ground, creating a relaxed and bohemian atmosphere. The bustling areas of République and Bastille are not far away either. The hotel is next to metro lines 3 and 9 and there is a Vélib bike station right in front of the building.

    Accommodation 5.70 /10

The hotel has 36 rooms that come as double rooms without a toilet, and double rooms, triple rooms and quadruple rooms with a bathroom. The general state of the rooms is nothing to write home about, suffice it to say that they're clean enough. The rooms are bright and colourful, with an added touch of cheerfulness provided by the pink and white tones of the walls, and the blue wooden furniture. Finally, for a 1-star hotel, the rooms are more than decent. The bathrooms are rather small and basic, and feature a shower curtain and old-fashioned tiling. The rooms include brand new flat-screen TVs. The hotel is very suitable for travellers who want to enjoy a central location and cheap rates. The Wi-Fi connection is only available on the ground floor.

    Overview 5.45 /10

With remarkable aplomb, the hotel seems to have complete disregard for the other buildings surrounding it: its façade is totally decrepit, hideous and ravaged. You may even begin asking yourself how recent the last war to affect this place was! However, things improve improve enormously once inside, despite the basic layout and quaint furniture of the reception area. The relaxed atmosphere of the square in front of the hotel has crept inside. You'll see guests typing on their computer, while others chat away. The breakfast room is at the far end of the entrance hall and bathes in natural light. There is no lift

The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.
