Flagstaff is our first stopover in Arizona. But before stopping there for the night, it would be a shame not to make a detour to Meteor Crater and visit this impressive 50,000-year-old impact site, located around 60 km east of Flagstaff. It is also known as the Barringer Crater, after mining engineer Daniel Moreau Barringer, who bought the site in 1903.
One of the most beautiful stretches of the legendary Route 66 is undoubtedly the one that crosses Arizona. The natural parks that follow are sumptuous and immerse us in an incredible culture. It is in Arizona that the conquest of the American West takes on its full meaning. So much so that if you had to travel only one part of Route 66, it would be this one, starting in Flagstaff. All you need to do is spend a week in Arizona along Route 66 to discover the sumptuous natural landscapes that make this epic journey so magical. Red rock, dizzying canyons and historic sites along Route 66 await you on this 7-day tour of Arizona. You won't see the miles go by, so much so that you'll be amazed by the beauty of the scenery.

At the end of the 1980s, as Seligman slowly sank into oblivion with the advent of the railways and major motorways, Angel Delgadillo decided, with his brother, to create an association for the rehabilitation of Route 66. The gamble paid off, as Route 66 has been restored to its former glory and has risen from the ashes thanks to the titanic work of this barber.

What strikes you most when you visit Seligman is its decor and atmosphere, straight out of the 50s and 60s. With its flashy-coloured facades and vintage cars in blue, pink, yellow and green, you'd almost expect to bump into Elvis Presley in the town's main alley.
