An irresistible praline brioche, the Saint-Genix cake has been a great success since the 19th century, when Françoise Guillaud decided to add these little pink treasures and wrap the whole thing in greaseproof paper in the colours of Savoie. Legend has it that it was inspired by the story of Saint Agatha, a Sicilian martyr whose breasts were cut off after she refused to recant her Christian faith. The following night, they miraculously grew back, inspiring women to make this breast-shaped sweet.
