If you're passing through Dammam, it's a good idea to stop off at one of the souks favoured by future brides and grooms. The Share Al-Hob souk (also known as the "love market") is renowned for its many jewellers. In the souk's alleyways, you'll also find all kinds of craft and souvenir shops, as well as snack bars. In the evenings, street artists liven up the souk with their performances.
Shopping enthusiasts are not left out in this city, which has several shopping centres. From the Marina Mall to Al Otaim and the Rashid Mall, you're sure to find what you're looking for at well-known names such as Mango, Adidas and H&M.

Art, sport and culture
Formerly a fishing port, Dammam has become a modern, cosmopolitan city that continues to evolve over the years. Comprising a number of different districts, the city's focus on art, sport and culture has no shortage of activities to offer. Sports fans can attend football matches at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd stadium or try their hand at cricket. Situated on the shores of the Red Sea, Dammam is also home to numerous diving spots where you can admire the coral reefs and colourful fish. Head for Marjan Island or closer by, Al Khobar, to dive to a depth of 7 metres in complete safety. Afterwards, opt for a stroll along the corniche, which has play areas for children.
The King Abdelaziz Centre for Knowledge and Culture is the perfect place for a family cultural outing. It's a place where international culture shines, and you'll need to devote a good part of your day to discovering it in its entirety and enjoying its activities. You can watch a film in the cinema, read a book in the library or discover the current exhibitions.
