In the 1960s, a resident of Jordaan offered his sofa for rent to tourists visiting Amsterdam, and it was an instant success. In no time at all, the sofa became a bedroom, then two, then a floor, before the entire house was transformed into a hotel.

Despite the years and developments, the establishment has lost none of its authenticity and hospitality. You don't really feel like you're setting foot in a hotel, but rather arriving at the home of a friend, good old Mr Jordaan.

In the heart of the Jordaan, the hotel offers beautifully decorated rooms for one to three people, some with views over the Amsterdam canals. It even has a lift, which is rare in the 17th-century houses typical of the area. We also recommend you try out their delicious breakfast!
