3 ice cream parlours to try in Bordeaux (to taste the best ice creams in France)

Glacerie Dumas: 4.9/5

Don't know what to choose between ice cream and cake? Don't hesitate any longer, Glacerie Dumas has decided: it'll be both! A sort of hybrid between an ice cream parlour and a pastry shop, it offers ice cream cakes, frosted macaroons, a yoghurt ice bowl and even a kind of frozen crumble (called Bacio)... With all this, you'll be spoilt for choice!

And that's not all, Glacerie Dumas also offers a delicious Sunday brunch. Of course, aficionados of traditional ice cream, in cones or pots, will also find something to their liking among the 25 flavours of ice creams and sorbets from here and abroad.

🍦 Henriette & Olga: 4.8/5

"Glacetronomic" is the word that should exist to describe Henriette & Olga. This establishment, too, is halfway between ice cream parlour and pastry shop, enough to delight any palate. All their delicacies are made using fresh, local produce, in keeping with traditional know-how.

Their ice creams - and that's what we're really interested in here – are made right in the shop, in a glassed-in laboratory that lets us glimpse the entire production process. There are no more than twenty flavours to choose from, with quality taking precedence over quantity.

🍦 La Maison du Glacier: 4.6/5

Tasty, organic and, above all, choice! That's what the Maison du Glacier offers, in front of which a queue stretches all summer long. But if the locals are prepared to wait long minutes for their ice cream, it's not for nothing: 80 flavours of organic ice cream, milkshakes, granités and other delights are on offer!

This is your chance to try flavours you've never seen elsewhere: gazelle horn, Espelette pepper, beer, red pepper, frangipane... we can't possibly list them all! Or stick to a safe bet with a vanilla, strawberry or chocolate scoop.
