Discover underwater life at the Dubai Aquarium

Downtown Dubai not only offers breathtaking views, it also has its fair share of magical activities. After the fountain show, the artificial ski resort or the Atlantis amusement park, head for the aquarium in the Dubai Mall. This impressive facility offers young and old alike the chance to discover over 33,000 fish and marine animals. It's an unforgettable experience, crossing continents and discovering a diverse range of fauna. Linked by a tunnel, the aquarium provides access to the underwater zoo, where you can see otters, penguins and caimans. The more adventurous can even swim with the sharks. An experience you should have at least once in your life!

An aquarium like no other

At 51 metres long, 20 metres wide and 11 metres high, the Dubai Aquarium is one of the largest in the world. And it knows how to differentiate itself. Located in the Dubai Mall, visitors can discover underwater life by travelling through a long tunnel with a glass wall to offer a panoramic view. Schools of fish swim above families, couples and children, offering a moment of pure magic. Look up and you'll see stingrays, jellyfish and maybe even sharks.

Immersive activities

For the more adventurous, there are plenty of activities to challenge your limits. For example, you can go scuba diving to swim with the sharks or book a trip in a small submarine to observe the most dangerous species. For those who can't swim, the aquarium has thought of everything. You can sit comfortably in a protected cage that descends 2 metres underwater to meet the sharks.

Shiver with the animals of the underwater zoo

Once you've had your fill of the tunnel, head to the second level to enter the underwater zoo. You'll come across species endemic to the Emirates desert, such as snakes, scorpions and lizards, as well as animals and insects that will send shivers down your spine, such as giant spiders and bats. Don't miss the star of the zoo, King Croc. This Australian crocodile is one of the most impressive in the world, measuring 5 metres in length and weighing 750 kg.
