The Promenade des Anglais: the emblem of the French Riviera in Nice

The most famous seafront on the Côte d'Azur, the Promenade des Anglais is one of the symbols of the city of Nice. Prestigious hotels, private beaches, cycle paths and palm trees share this seven-kilometre stretch. Stretching across a large part of the Bay of Angels, the Promenade des Anglais welcomes walkers, joggers, motorists and cyclists. In the sea air, in summer or winter, travellers can sit back on the mythical Blue Chairs, facing the Mediterranean, to enjoy a breathtaking panorama to the rhythm of the waves. Just a stone's throw from Old Nice and the hustle and bustle of the city centre, this timeless bubble is a favourite spot for locals and a must for tourists. Take a step up to the hill of the Château, for a different view of this maritime boulevard, before heading back down to laze on the pebble beaches.

Feet in the sand... or rather the pebbles

In the Côte d'Azur sunshine, the Prom is an idyllic place to spend a few hours cooling off, basking in the sun or reading a book to the sound of the waves. The pebbled beaches stretch as far as the eye can see all along the seafront, between public and private areas.

On the public side, the Plage du Voilier is ideal for an authentic yet comfortable beach outing. Faced with an almost crystal-clear blue sea, put down your towel and let your desires guide you! Bathing, picnicking, sunbathing or taking a siesta, it's the perfect place for an outing with family or friends.

Between the restaurant, the bar and the beach, it's the elegant, relaxing and surprising 3-in-1 adored by tourists, but also by the people of Nice!

Passing the torch on the coast

At the level of Vieux Nice, the Promenade des Anglais comes to an end, leaving the seafront to the Quai des Etats-Unis. Don't look for it, many tourists can't see the difference on the pavement.
