There’s an exceptional selection of clubs to choose from that are located in the heart of town and visitors and locals alike are truly spoiled for choice. Chalk

Tucked away behind the coach station by the seafront, you would walk right past Chalk and not think twice, unless you know it’s there. But once you know, you know. With a main room that can rotate to accommodate different capacities and a mezzanine floor that provides guests with a different outlook and space, the place buzzes with energy any night of the week. Organising regular various themed nights as well as live gigs, it’s the perfect place for a casual but fun night out. Typically, Chalk is the perfect venue for fans of indie music, but their “Secret Discotheque” nights which take place on most Thursdays make for the perfect night out for any lover of pop.

Club Revenge

The South Coast’s number one LGBTQ+ venue, Club Revenge is a staple of going out culture in Brighton. It is an overwhelmingly welcoming and warm space, full of colour, LED lights and even a magic mirror photobooth. The club is spread out over three floors, a large main room on level 1, a dance floor on level 2 and a stunning rooftop space with incredible views of the city and the iconic Brighton Pier. Revenge is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays from 10:30pm until late and puts on a wide variety of different events from drag shows to live performances to live DJ sets. It’s an unmissable spot when visiting Brighton.

Volks

Located on right on Brighton’s seafront, Volks has been a popular clubbing venue in Brighton for more than 25 years. The place turns into an underground club at night and hosts a diverse range of live gigs. Made up of two separate rooms, Volks offers an array of alternative and eclectic club nights. With the variety of the nights they put on, there’s always something for everyone, which can also mean deciding on the night to go is no simple task.

Casablanca

Casablanca is very popular amongst locals and has been an institution for years. This jazz bar/club’s focus is, of course, music. It is a space for new and up-an-coming musicians to showcase their talents and the venue features a little bit of everything, from jazz to funk to soul and even a little pop. With one room dedicated to live performances and another to DJ decks, Casablanca makes for a perfect but still eclectic night out. The venue is located near the seafront and is open from 10pm to 3am.

Coalition

Reopening in April 2023, Coalition has been a favourite amongst Brightonians for years. Located on the seafront, under the arches, it’s a great venue that offers a diverse set of nights, the most iconic being the Coco Loco Reggaeton, a large-scale Latino party which usually takes place on Wednesdays. It’s always a safe bet when you’re in want of a fun and casual night out bith some great vibes.
