This Year’s Lineup, Venues & Activities

The Mayrhofen Snowbombing and Music festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary this upcoming year, and there’s so much to look forward to. Some world-renowned artists to be expected this year are Fatboy Slim, Chris Stussy, Jayda G, Andy C, Hybrid Minds and many more! They will be performing on the numerous stages that the festival offers, listed below.

There are several places to rejoice whilst listening to the soothing tunes of world renowned DJs at Mayrhofen. Its most popular day-time locations for partying apart from igloo raves, street parties, and enchanted forests are the mountain venues such as the Snow Park Terrace, Mountain Stage, Rompa’s Reggae Shack, Mountaintop Brunch, and Penken Terrace. Hosted at high altitudes, these stages offer breathtaking views and endless good vibes. Even better, they operate from 12pm to 4pm leaving you that perfect balance between hitting the slopes and taking a break at an outdoor stage during the day.

Once the sun sets, fret not as the party isn't over. The Snowbombing and Music Festival has got you covered and organises in-town venues for those groups joining at the end of the last ski run at 5pm and ready to rave until dawn. These night-time venues host very different ambiances, depending on your mood:

The Fun Haus offers a bier garden and a wild house party for those really looking for a good time. The Rocket club is reserved for raves until 6am. This is the way to go for real festival enthusiasts! Brück’n Stadl hosts more low-key parties in a late-night lodge (beware that a common activity at this particular venue involves a sausage throwing competition - so watch your back!). Strass Bar hosts smaller DJ venues, perfect for a more intimate feel. And finally, the Hand The Butcher venue is known for pop up parties and raves!

Tired of partying? Let’s go over the many activities that this festival has to offer. With over 605 km of slopes and over 20 km worth of cross-country skiing, you’re guaranteed prime skiing and snowboarding conditions. For those looking for other things to do, you can explore the greater Mayrhofen village and its surroundings (such as its HinterTux Glacier) through organised bike rides or hiking groups. Finally, for those looking for that extra edge, consider paragliding over the beautiful mountainous landscape, and climb its daunting cliffs (with supervision of course). Okay, maybe that was too extreme. Let’s go for something in the middle: Mayrhofen Snowbombing week also organises fun activities such as sledding at the Sno-lympics or participating in its very own Ride and Seek competition, which involves skimming over a pond or showing off your skills at the Vans Penken Snow Park for all to see. And for the zen part of the week: mountain yoga and meditation sessions.

How to Get There

Thinking of flying, going by train or by car? The easier option sounds like flying right? Well what if we told you that driving may actually be the most fun out of the three? That’s right, Snowbombing organises a Road Trip through 5 European countries every year for those 100+ participants interested in discovering the alpine backroads from the Saturday 6th of April to Sunday 7th. The best parts: a Stopover party mid-way and a welcome parade upon arrival with special guests and fun dressing codes to keep up along the way!
