Aoraki, New Zealand

Aoraki is mainly known for its Lake Pukaki and Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain towering over it. Located on New Zealand's South Island, there's no landscape quite like this one, which comes to life in winter when the shimmering snow reflects into the lake.

Tokyo, Japan

An underrated Winter destination, Tokyo is simply stunning year-round. Ginkgo Alley in Tokyo is a path that is as beautiful in summer as in winter. This natural tunnel then turns into a snow corridor offering a beautiful view and an amazing walk.

Lapland, Finland

How could there be winter without pine trees? Here, they stand beside the frozen Muonionjoki River, which couldn’t resist the bitter cold of northern Finland. And who needs Northern Lights when the sky comes alive anyways? Undoubtedly there's nowhere quite like Lapland when it comes to stunning winter landscapes.

Yamanachi, Japan

Mount Fuji is almost symmetrically perfect, but you should know that the highest mountain in Japan owes this remarkable shape to its last eruption in 1707. Besides, Lake Kawaguchiko makes it even more breathtaking, so the inhabitants are lucky to see this every day.

Snæfellsnes, Iceland

The Kirkjufell mountain is one of the most famous natural sites in Iceland. In winter, the water in the falls freeze, putting everything on "pause" and sunsets just sublimate the horizon.
