1. Zermatt, Switzerland

At a height of 1620 metres, this glacier-featuring Swiss resort is prime for Spring skiers and snowboarders thanks to its dry climate. Although it has a wide range of slopes located between 1620 and 1899 metres, the length of its rocky terrain of up to 362 kilometres is naturally suitable for more advanced skiers. Moreover, Zermatt’s world renowned Klein Matterhorn pistes make this alpine ski resort one of the most reliable for late season skiing in Europe - open until the 30th of April

2. Cervinia, Italy

Zermatt’s Italian border neighbour Cervinia is located at 2050 metres making it also one of the highest and most reliable for Spring snowfall in the Alps

Although not as lively as Zermatt, this resort was a former climbing village, which is where it got its old charm. This resort is more suitable for families looking for a calm winter escape on an intermediate level hillside. However, Cervinia still has a lot going for itself, with an altitude ranging between 1525 and 3480 metres, pistes running up to 150 kilometres and about 1400 to 1800 metres worth of vertical skiing. There is much to enjoy over a short week-end!
