It was in 1875 that Deauville decided to install parasols on its beach. Manufactured by the Deauville council, the parasols come in 5 colours. The municipal department that designed the parasols also repaired them.

Deauville beach is popular all year round. However, the pleasures of the beach and the sea reach their peak in summer. You should also be prepared for crowds during the school holidays. 🚌 How do you get to Deauville to experience some fairytale moments?
The town of Deauville is very well served by train (Trouville-Deauville station typical with its half-timbering). From Paris, head for Saint-Lazare station, and allow 2 hours 30 minutes for the journey. By plane, the commune is linked to a number of destinations via Deauville-Normandie airport.
