1. The island of Batz

This island is in the north of Finistère. To get there, all you have to do is take a boat for a 15-minute crossing. Once you set foot on the island, let the magic of the setting work its magic. Its fauna, flora and heritage offer a complete change of scenery in the heart of Brittany. Discreet, those who like peace and quiet away from the tourists will be delighted.

2. Quimper

As the capital of Finistère, Quimper is a must-see when visiting the département. Be sure to visit Saint-Corentin Cathedral, an architectural gem. A town steeped in history, Quimper is also a gourmet town, with crêpes dentelles, one of the town's culinary specialities, a must.

3. Locronan

This village is a little hidden treasure in Finistère. Labelled "Most beautiful village in France", it's a great place to wander around and discover the charm of its granite houses at a crossroads. Facing the sea, Locronan prospered in the 16th century thanks to the sailcloth industry.

4. Concarneau

With its strong military past, Concarneau has left an important trace of its history, thanks in particular to the fortifications of the Ville Close. 5. Ushant

Known as the island at the end of the world, Ushant is a major tourist destination in Finistère. This jewel in the Iroise Sea can be visited for a weekend or longer. There are many lighthouses to discover on the island, including the Créach lighthouse, with its blue and white stripes. Those who prefer to admire the horizon can go to the Pointe de Kadoran or the Pointe de Porz Doun.
