Hike to Biryong waterfall and its emerald waters

Tucked away in Seoraksan National Park, Biryong Waterfall is dazzling in spring, when the sky is bright and the vegetation green.

Before reaching the waterfall and its emerald waters, you'll have to walk along a path through a bamboo forest, where you'll be able to admire the beauty of the natural scenery, while discovering small waterfalls cascading down the mountains along the way.

Along the way, you'll take a number of steps and suspension bridges, but don't worry, the route is easy!

For an hour and 20 minutes, casual walkers and real trekkers can get together. At the finish, the waters of the bucolic waterfall fall into a pool so emerald you'll want to dive in. Although swimming is prohibited, this natural wonder is an ideal spot for a picnic in a heavenly setting.

Strolling around Busan, between beaches, city and mountains

Busan, South Korea's second largest city, is a must for any trip to the country. To visit it in its entirety and enjoy each of its facets, you'll need to set aside at least 3 days.

It offers a good overview of the country, with a contrast between the natural and the urban. To get the full picture, you need to take a stroll down Gwanbok-ro Street. Busy day and night, this street in the port district will give you an insight into the lively daily lives of Koreans. Hundreds of shops line the streets and every year the Busan International Film Festival is held here.

Here, nature is never far away, and you can catch a glimpse of it just by getting a bit of height. Head for Busan's impressive tower. At a height of 120 m, it offers a panoramic view of the city, its buildings with their green roofs, its forests and its mountains.

To get there, you need to take an escalator (or a staircase for the bravest) that will take you to the hill in Yondusan Park, right in the heart of the city.

When it's time for lunch, head to Biff Square in Nampo-Dong for a taste of Korean street food. This district, considered to be the old city centre, has several markets, one of the most popular being the fish market, where you're sure to discover some little-known species!
