Easter by the sea

What could be better than spending the first holiday of the year by the sea during the Easter weekend .... in Italy? Sicily is an excellent alternative to enjoy the first rays of sunshine and beaches that are still uncrowded before the big influx of tourists during the summer and enjoy the Sicilian climate and sea. Temperatures are pleasant, hovering around 25 degrees Celsius. A foretaste of summer, what do you say?

Easter in the snow

But if you're not yet ready for the sea and white sand, you can opt for the mountains and fresh snow. Although the snow starts to melt everywhere with the arrival of spring, in the Aosta Valley it's still intact. Surrounded by four of Europe's highest peaks, you can choose between Mont Blanc (4,810 metres), Monte Rosa (4,637 metres), the Matterhorn (4,478 metres) and Gran Paradiso (4,061 metres).

Be impressed by Europe's highest peaks and their unique and breathtaking views. You will find yourself in a pure environment, where the only sound you will hear will be the sound of skis gliding over fresh snow. On the skis or off the slopes, come and share a moment with your family, friends or partner in a place as incredible as it is exotic. Of course, don't forget to enjoy a good polenta concia or a raclette in one of the typical mountain huts.

Easter at the spa

If you prefer to spend the weekend in an atmosphere of calm and well-being, the Terme di Saturnia spa is an excellent choice. This magical place is located in the municipality of Manciano, in the province of Grosseto, Tuscany. It has one of the largest thermal parks in Europe, with a surface area of more than 20,000 square metres. Come and pamper yourself in a place that promotes health and beauty, helping you to regain your psycho-physical balance.

This huge complex offers three equally incredible wellness facilities. To begin with, the Saturnia Thermal Park, where the four open-air thermal pools are located, offers the possibility of hydromassage baths, vascular tours and balneotherapy. This wellness tour is a unique experience of total regeneration, and for the little ones, there are also two pools for the whole family to enjoy.

You will also find the magnificent Cascadas del Molino waterfalls, open to the public free of charge all year round, 24 hours a day. They offer a moment of relaxation in the middle of nature, with crystal-clear waters of 37.5 degrees that flow over the rocks like a picture-postcard landscape.

Easter in a historic Italian village

If you are looking for little Italian gems, you can take advantage of the Easter weekend to discover a hidden village in the Veneto: Soave. Soave is a medieval village where the sober colours of the buildings blend with the bright green of the vineyards and the unspoilt hills.

Soave is rich in history and immerses you in nothing less than history. You can visit the city centre, where you will discover the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Palazzo del Capitano or the Scaliger walls. You can also stroll along the nature trails to relax. Among the most popular routes is the Percorso dei 10 Capitelli, which stretches for 8 km and offers a beautiful panoramic view of the whole province.
