Spend a day at the Morocco Mall

If you're looking for a day of shopping and family activities, Morocco Mall is the place to be. This gigantic complex covers an area of 190,000 m² and offers a range of 350 shops featuring 600 major brands, as well as a hypermarket, numerous restaurants and entertainment venues (cinema, ice rink, play park, 3D universe). In addition to its many activities, the Morocco Mall is also a jewel of design: designed by architect Davide Padoa, it was built on the seafront, giving visitors a magnificent view. It also features a cylindrical aquarium right in the middle of the shopping centre. Finally, the Morocco Mall also boasts a giant musical fountain, ranked as the third largest in the world. It has quickly established itself as the economic epicentre of Casablanca. So you absolutely must spend a day there, to get a glimpse of this unique concept in Morocco.

A unique shopping centre in Africa

The Morocco mall is a truly sprawling complex, the largest in Africa. It's a veritable living space, spread over three distinct floors: the first is dedicated to food and restaurants, while the second houses wellness, luxury and high-tech boutiques, as well as leisure facilities. You'll find well-known names such as Fnac, Galeries Lafayette, Pimkie, Jules, Etam Groupe, Zara and Massimo Dutti, as well as luxury brands such as Armani, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Gucci, Miu Miu, Prada and Dior.

Despite all this modernity, the Morocco mall has not forgotten the most traditional aspects of Moroccan culture, with souks covering more than 700 square metres, including a small mosque decorated with wood carvings and zelliges.

A giant aquarium

Finally, you won't want to miss the Morocco Mall's landmark: its huge aquarium, 13.4 m in diameter and 9.3 m high, containing a million litres of seawater. Called "Aquadream", it has been placed at the heart of the shopping centre. It was built in the shape of a cylinder to give spectators a 360-degree view of marine life. Aquadream contains 3,750 types of coral and 37 breeds of fish. A real technological feat thanks to its unique shape, the aquarium is crossed by a panoramic lift that can seat up to 12 people. You'll feel like you're immersed in the underwater world!

For its exceptional architecture, it has been ranked as the 3rd most unusual aquarium in the world, after those in Washington and Berlin. Aquadream is also a great way to learn more about the marine world: the ramp, touch screens and brochure available will undoubtedly help you develop your knowledge of the aquatic world. Visitors can also go scuba diving with a professional instructor inside the aquarium.

The enchantment of the musical fountain

The Morocco Mall's second star attraction is definitely its musical fountain, which offers an exceptional spectacle not to be missed, with its lights, music, movements and jets of water. With a total surface area of 6,000 m² and a length of 210 m, the Morocco Mall's musical fountain is ranked third in the world after the Bellagio in Las Vegas and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. And it's hardly surprising: the fountain was designed by WET, one of the world's leading experts in the field, which has signed up to some of the most prestigious projects in the world (including the Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas).

282 jets of water up to 60 metres high are regulated by an electronic device according to external climatic parameters (wind speed and direction). Every 20 minutes, the fountain is activated for 4 minutes, following a constantly changing programme. From 1pm, you can listen to a selection of Moroccan, Arab and international music.

Adventureland: the kingdom of entertainment

The Adventureland concept, already developed in the United Arab Emirates, was a great success. This encouraged the Morocco Mall to equip itself with the same entertainment centre, offering more than 100 attractions worthy of the biggest amusement parks, as well as a large number of video simulation games, not forgetting the ice rink. Located 15 metres above ground in Morocco Mall, Adventureland is sure to delight young and old alike. Adventureland Morocco's medieval theme is designed to project a magical, fairytale atmosphere, inspired by mythical animals such as dragons, giant spiders and underwater creatures. Children can also enjoy a climbing wall, an ice rink, a 3-storey play area with trampoline, slides, ball machines, bumper cars, a carousel... what could be better?

Enjoy the ice rink

Enjoying an ice rink in the middle of the Maghreb is bound to be a change of scenery: you'll go from the heat of the outdoors to the cool of a "winter village" with a medieval theme. Over an area of 1100 m2, you'll be able to skate while enjoying musical and colourful entertainment that will make your skating experience fun and festive. Skating takes place on a white lake, which is actually a frozen expanse of water (800 m2). The remaining 300 m2 is made up of ancillary facilities (changing rooms, restaurant-cafés, etc.). While skates can be hired on site, remember to bring gloves and appropriate clothing to avoid catching cold. Helmets are also recommended for inexperienced young children.
