4-season sledging

This is one of the leisure activities not to be missed during your stay in Megève: all year round, the luge 4 saisons - also known as Luge 4S - offers you a cocktail of thrills worthy of an amusement park! Solo or in pairs, climb aboard a toboggan fixed to rails to start a 715-metre descent. With bends, changes in altitude and speeds of up to 36 km/h, this is one of the most adrenalin-pumping rides you'll ever experience!

To make the most of the experience, you're the only one in charge! You're at the controls and can control the speed of your sled yourself, thanks to the side handles. And to make the experience even more magical, the best time to come is at dusk, when the lights come on around the track in a hushed atmosphere... An enchanted interlude that will delight the whole family.

🚌How do I get to the 4-season sledging circuit?

Megève's 4-season toboggan run is located on the Télécabine road, a 15-minute walk from the Tourist Office. So it's easy to get there on foot from the town centre, even with small children.

Who should try 4-season sledging?

Despite appearances and the speed of the sleds, this activity is suitable for children aged 3 and over. However, children under the age of 9 are not allowed to go up on their own; a driver over the age of 9 (preferably an adult) must be designated. This age limit may be raised to 14 in the event of special weather conditions such as ice, snow or rain.

"We had a great time as a family, my 4 year old daughter loved it! You can also buy a souvenir photo for just €2." Marianne, tourist on holiday in Megève.

Disabled people are welcome too! People with reduced mobility will be escorted to the sled by an assistance (price on request from Portes du Mont-Blanc. If you are visually or mentally impaired, a third-party toboggan driver must be designated.

💰 How much does this activity cost in Megève?

In 2022, the price of a 4-season toboggan run was €8 per person. Packs of 6 or 10 descents are also on sale (especially for families) at prices of €40 and €61. Tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase, so you can easily use them in instalments during your stay.

If you'd like to keep a souvenir of the experience, you can buy a photo of your descent at the end of the tour. This photo, similar to those offered at the end of roller coasters in amusement parks, is sold at a single price of €2.

Can I book my descent online?

As its name suggests, the Megève 4 Seasons toboggan run is open all year round. However, opening times are subject to change depending on the season and weather conditions. To check the opening times of the 4S toboggan during your stay, contact the Megève Tourist Office or visit its official website.

In all cases, whatever the date of your stay, you don't need to book to use the 4-season sledging circuit. During the school holidays, waiting times can unfortunately be very long, so don't hesitate to come as soon as it opens, or at the end of the day when holidaymakers have already gone to their accommodation.
