In fact, there are several dozen kilometres of beaches and coves along the coast of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc!
To the north is the Nouelles Saint-Laurent beach in Plérin.
Continuing northwards, the bay of Martin Plage is also located in the commune of Plérin. This sandy, rocky cove is particularly popular with the inhabitants of Saint-Brieuc.
Water sports are available on some of the beaches. You can try your hand at paddle-boarding, windsurfing or kite-surfing.
Rental facilities are located mainly on the Plage des Rosaires.
There is also a sailing school on the beach at Plérin. The centre offers courses (for children aged 3 and over), private lessons and equipment hire.
Please note that some beaches are not supervised. So make sure your children are safe!
There are high tides and strong currents at different times of the day.
In July and August, dogs are not allowed on most beaches.
Rosaires beach, the seaside star of Saint-Brieuc
This vast beach, over 2 kilometres long, is perfect for families. In fine weather, the Rosaires beach is supervised.
The beach is closed off to the east by the beautiful Pointe du Roseliers. This promontory juts out proudly into the English Channel. The view from the tip of the point is breathtaking.
There's plenty to do at Plage des Rosaires: water sports, running, swimming... There's something for everyone!
For the rest of you, the choice between lazing around or exploring the seaside villas known as "les Rosariennes" are great alternative options!
🍴For a pleasant gourmet break, there's nothing like the following addresses:
L'Amuz Bouche: this traditional cuisine restaurant is located just back from Les Rosaires beach. The menu offers traditional cuisine made from remarkably fresh local produce.
Bistrot Les Rosaires: this elegant brasserie overlooks the sea. The dishes are not to be outdone, often featuring seafood.
Scallops from the Bay of Saint-Brieuc and fresh fish are regular favourites. The restaurant is also a tea room.
