Despite the rather formal welcome by staff, the lobby of the Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel and Thalasso is wonderfully comfortable and cosy. It's a place bursting with style, imagination and good taste.
The image that best describes the hall is that of a fluffy cloud. The shapes, materials and colours boast exquisite smoothness and rounded lines. The lounge is like a huge white shell, and is full of surprises in terms of the shapes and materials used. The armchairs alone give you a pretty good idea of the place. These inverted domes made from white plastic and covered in patches of off-white and purple leather resemble true artistic flowers.
The first thing you'll notice is the soothing colours (purple and off-white) and the clever layout of the armchairs and sofas, creating little intimate lounges.
The same style and atmosphere are found on the hotel's top floor, on the 200 m² rooftop terrace that boasts a panoramic view of Cannes, the port and the sea. Once again, the furniture here was carefully selected. The colour scheme is a bit darker here too (black and natural wood), but the furniture features the same lines and curves as in the lobby, and the flower-dome armchairs downstairs are replaced here by armchairs with black openwork inverted domes. The terrace also features a small pond with water jets, wooden deckchairs and white elongated vases.
As areas filling the space between the earth (the lobby) and the sky (the terrace), the breakfast room and the business centre are where these two decorative styles meet. The breakfast room boasts a long line of black tables flanked on one side by a small bench and on the other by large comfortable armchairs. The Business Centre is a large and modern room with big desks and iMac computers.
As its name suggests, one of the major assets of the Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel and Thalasso is its thalassotherapy centre. It's a highly modern centre, both in terms of its state-of-the-art facilities, and of its decor, which is pure and mixes chrome-plated metal surfaces and rock. Covering an area of 2,700 m², the thermal baths include 46 treatment rooms, 3 exfoliation parlours with heated marble tables, facial treatments, luxury body treatments and makeovers, weight-lifting and fitness machines, a caldarium, Turkish baths, a sauna, a Japanese bath, and even a hairdressing salon.
