While both the interior and exterior architecture of the B4 Park promises a hotel full of charm and character, the decoration, or rather lack thereof in these vast spaces, merely leaves a slightly depressing feeling of emptiness.

    • To know

    • The B4 Park is located at the heart of the city of Nice, less than 200m from the Vieille Ville (Old Town) and a stone's throw away from the Coulée Verte (green corridor). Its location next to numerous shops, bars and restaurants is great for guests staying here.
The Promenade des Anglais and the beach are just 200m from the hotel. The SNCF train station 'Nice Ville' is just under a mile away, while Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is less than 3 miles away.

    • The B4 Park has 104 guest rooms over 6 floors, which are divided into several categories: Classic, Superior, Deluxe and Junior Suites.
The colour theme in the rooms gives them a warmer feel than the communal areas. Indeed, the brown carpet matched with the chestnut walls and the off-white varnish of the furniture gives them a cosy and elegant atmosphere. Unfortunately, here also there is a strong feeling of emptiness. Overall the rooms are spacious (between 20 and 25 m²), which is obviously a good thing, but the sparse furniture, limited to a bed, a small desk and two armchairs, and the 'spaced out' arrangement doesn't maximise on this.
The guest rooms overlook a pedestrian area (Classic rooms), a garden (Superior rooms) or the sea (Deluxe rooms). The Deluxe rooms also have a balcony.
They are equipped with a minibar, a safe, free Wi-Fi Internet access and air-conditioning.
Unlike the other areas of the hotel, the bathrooms are quite small, but they are functional. Covered with white tiles and not much else, their decoration isn't particularly interesting. Most of the bathrooms have a shower, and all have a separate toilet.
The B4 Park has rooms adapted for guests with reduced mobility.

    • Behind the historic façade of the Art Deco-style B4 Park hotel building, the interior architecture is worthy of a refined Roman palace. The moment guests walk through the entrance they find themselves in a bright corridor with a long desk that serves as the reception, covered in a mosaic. Cream-coloured marble, like the mosaic, white-painted walls, and beautiful paintings accentuated by the lighting, the place certainly has class, and that's only the beginning!
Be prepared for a real surprise on entering the hotel lobby. It feels like you're in an overhanging forum surrounded by a gallery with arcade windows. Everything is white, almost surreal. A majestic and imposing marble staircase provides access to the upper gallery. A fountain covered in a mosaic mirror sits to the side of the staircase. If it weren't for the Art Deco-style glass roof, this immaculate realm would look like some sort of fairyland.
In the middle are three islands of beautiful white leather armchairs, the only furniture in this vast space. This is where the problem lies. As majestic and impressive as it may be, the lobby is cold, empty and almost sad.
On the first floor, under the arches, the brick-coloured carpet and the velvet armchairs in the same colour bring a touch of warmth to the ambiance, although the emptiness persists and unfortunately lacks charm. The paintings in all of the communal areas attempt to inject a bit of life and colour (they are changed every three to six months and are the work of local artists). In the room connecting the reception to the lobby, the antique chairs and piano also seem rather lost in the middle of this large void.
Fortunately, and even though it has no exterior windows, the dining room on the lower ground floor is more welcoming with its grey stone walls, light wood parquet floor and contemporary white plastic chairs. Like in the lobby, there is no lack of space here and the room can seat between 40 and 50 people.
The B4 Park has four meeting rooms that can accommodate between 25 and 250 people.

    • The B4 Park does not serve any food other than breakfast, which consists of a hot and cold buffet and can be served in your room for an extra cost.

    • The B4 Park hotel offers 24/7 room service.
Animals are accepted at no additional cost.

Ideally situated at the heart of the city, the B4 Hotel Plaza's Belle Epoque architecture is truly remarkable. The communal areas, on the other hand, have a rather cold appearance, although the lovely rooftop terrace quickly warms the atmosphere back up.

The Mercure Notre-Dame presents itself as a town hotel in a sea resort village. As it is not on the sea front, it makes the most of its other features to set itself apart from the competition. One such example is the 360-degree terrace on the top floor that overlooks the red roofs of Old Nice, and provides glimpses of the blue sea. It is probably better suited to couples than families.
