    Location 9.57 /10

The location of the Hôtel Amour, a Costes hotel, is an integral part of the establishment's overall concept. Thus it isn't by chance that this hotel, which professes the expression love in all of its forms, has made its home at 8, Rue Navarin, Paris, in the 9th arrondissement, near the Rue des Martyrs and in particular the world famous district of Pigalle. In addition, once you learn that it was once a pay-by-the-hour establishment, you can say that the tone is set!
We do have to say, though, that the district has changed considerably over the last few years. Although the stereotypical image you have of Pigalle may include Cancan dancers, sex shops and wild nights, it is important to point out that the district has become extremely hip and is no longer the seedy area that is used to be in the 19th century .
A popular neighbourhood (in the sense that it receives a lot of visitors, both locals and tourists), it is full of shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues (The Moulin Rouge, The Divan du Monde, La Cigale, The Boule Noire and The Trois Baudets)

    Accommodation 7.45 /10

All of the 24 guest rooms at the Hôtel Amour are unique. Each one has a very particular ambiance that came from the imagination of the artist who created it. For those familiar with the names Alexandre de Bétak, M&M Stak, Pierre Le Tan, Sophie Calle and Marc Newson, who have all left their mark, this could be enough of a reason to come discover what their overflowing creativity could have produced in such a setting.
Between the dark atmosphere of a room painted black with modern baroque elements, the white room with shelves covered with figurines (which can only be found in very trendy decor shops), the almond green room where the walls and furniture are covered with drawings and writing, or the one with the most intimate atmosphere where red and black create a very calm, elegant ambiance, your choice of romantic setting is vast.
But nothing is set in stone, the decoration in one room may change with a new artist coming to create a new atmosphere.

    Overview 7.20 /10

No spa, no swimming pool, no television in the rooms... the Hotel Amour is entirely focused on... love. Nothing should distract the guest from this theme that is present throughout the hotel, apart from the talent and originality of the artists who collaborated in its decor.
The entire establishment is decorated with vintage objects found on antique shopping excursions, whether it be the antique furniture or the " quirky trinkets ". From reception to the terrace, you are submersed in an off-the-wall-disparate-trendy-chic-erotic design setting. It goes without saying that every piece or object that is part of the decor as a whole has been chosen with a lot of care. Nothing has been, or is, left to chance, since the hotel manager, Emmanuel Delaveine, and artist Andre regularly change the items, even the decoration of some of the rooms, at their whim. Whether it is an attention to detail or a desire to stir up an impervious non-reaction among the trendy clientele, licentious objects and erotic magazines (vintage, of course) have been placed here and there.
Reception and 24 guest rooms, is that all? No, the Hotel Amour also has a pretty little outdoor terrace where trendy young people and artists come together at the first rays of sunlight.

    Food and drink 7.55 /10

The ground floor holds the Costes Brasserie, with its Art Deco tables, benches and 1950s-style colourful chairs upholstered in red leather. There's a pretty little garden where you can enjoy lunch or dinner in peace and quiet, far away from the brouhaha of Paris.

Ah l'hôtel Amour! Je le conseille... aux parisiens et aux parisiennes! Quel intérêt vous allez me dire d'aller à l'hôtel quand on habite Paris? Love is in the air, love is rue de Navarin.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.
