The hotel is not far from Montparnasse railway station. Its immediate surroundings do not have a great deal to offer, and so you will need to head to the district around the station to find shops, restaurants, bars and theatres. As far as public transport is concerned, Gaïté metro station (line 13) is not far from the hotel and other metro lines (lines 4, 12 and 6) are a little further away.
The hotel's 354 guest rooms are divided into 3 categories: standard, superior and deluxe. They all feature the same functional decor (shades of red, with brown furniture, etc.) but differ in terms of their surface area, views and the services on offer. The standard rooms measure between 20 and 22m² and offer a view over the patio. The superior rooms are the same size, but have the bonus of a mini-bar (snacks and soft drinks), as well as bathrobes and slippers in the bathroom. The deluxe category (25-28m²) has a completely free mini-bar, a Lavazza coffee machine, and a lounge area, while the bathroom also offers hospitality products, bathrobes, slippers and a set of bathroom scales. Regardless of the category, all the rooms are provided with a safe, a flat-screen television, individual air-conditioning, a trouser press and luggage storage space. All the bathrooms are provided with a bathtub, Annick Goutal hospitality products and a magnifying mirror. Accommodation advice: Some superior and deluxe rooms offer views over Place Catalogne or the Eiffel Tower!
The hotel was built in 2004 on Place Catalogne, and the building is so big you cannot miss it. The lobby and reception are spacious and bustling with the comings and goings of the many guests. The decor is simple, but nevertheless pleasant and cosy. Just past the reception, the hotel courtyard can be seen. It is planted with flowers and has a charming furnished terrace, making it a really pleasant place to spend time during fine weather. The hotel has Wi-Fi access and an internet corner, both of which can be used free of charge, but there is still a charge for wired internet access. For clients requiring extra facilities, there are 5 seminar rooms (with no natural light), and 10 conference rooms (subcommittee rooms).
The hotel has a bar and a restaurant. The bar, the Wengé, is open from 6:00am to 1:00am, and offers a snack menu from 6:00am to 10:00pm. The decor here is quite cosy. Beyond the bar is the restaurant, which has the same name and interestingly operates as a salad bar in summer and a soup bar in winter. The prices are reasonable, and light dishes are on offer for any guests who happen to be counting calories! On the other side of the patio is a restaurant that functions as the breakfast room and as a restaurant dining room for conferences and dinners.
The hotel has a private car park that can be used by guests for a fee, and so the most practical course of action by far is to park your car there are then travel around Paris using public transport (RER, bus and metro).

This hotel, located in one of the busiest shopping streets in the district, is decorated with a distinct Sub-Saharan twist.
This establishment is currently being transformed, and offers stylish and original family rooms.
A quality address to the north of the district famous for its painters, directly accessible from Gare Montparnasse station.
This superb, modern and warm, loft-style hotel boasts a decor in which every detail has been thought-out to really emphasize its personality and seductive qualities.
A fine hotel with a modern, customised style just next to Pernety.
This fine, sophisticated hotel has recently been renovated in a modern but simple style. The colours and furnishings are full of warmth and sophistication.
Right next to the train station and the lively Montparnasse area, this apartment hotel is about to undergo refurbishment works.
Hotel Pullman Paris Montparnasse is a large building in the shadow of the Montparnasse train station. Despite the fact that the exterior is far from inviting, all the necessary steps have been taken to give the interior the level of comfort expected by the Pullman brand. The hotel is characterised by the contemporary design of it lobby, its central location, its proximity to the railway station, and its level of comfort following international standards. It is mostly frequented by guests on business, but it also accommodates families or couples visiting Paris.
This is a hotel full of French style in which no copies or reproductions will be tolerated. The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.
The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.
The latest Parisian palace to open its doors on 1 August 2014. The French chic and sophistication goes perfectly with the Asian elegance in the magnificent building dating from 1908. This is the Peninsula Group's first hotel to open in France but also in Europe.
The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.
It took five Haussmanian buildings to bring the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme into existence, and it is the first luxury hotel in Paris to be designed in a contemporary fashion. Comfort, style and impeccable service all come together here in a younger, more modern setting.
Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.
At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.
Confidentiality is the order of the day at this very upmarket establishment, perfect for VIPs looking for a little discretion, and private events are also held here.
The Meurice is one of Paris's best addresses. With its contemporary yet quintessentially Parisian décor realised by great names such as Stark and his daughter. The Meurice is an exclusive haunt. the hotel's main restaurant, Le Meurice, is headed by 3 Michelin star Chef Yannick Alléno which is, needless to say, one of the highlights of a stay at the hotel. In a fantastic location right opposite the Jardin des Tuileries, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable.
