    Location 6.95 /10

    16/20
The hotel is located on the Rue Washington, which runs perpendicular to the Champs Elysées. Public transport is easily accessible since there are two metro stations near-by (Charles de Gaulle Etoile and Georges V) and there is always the bus, a more pleasant mode of transport. This location is ideal for both business travellers and tourists alike, since the Palais de Congrès can be reached directly on the metro, as can Disneyland on the RER. You will find numerous restaurants and bars to suit every taste and budget around the Champs Elysées.

    Accommodation 7.45 /10

The 26 guest rooms come in various categories, namely Discovery (with a shower), Privilege, Deluxe (with a separate toilet) and Junior Suite (with a sofa-bed). Continuing along the crystal/prism theme, the guest rooms are very colourful, with the colour scheme varying from one floor to the next, the 1st and 2nd floors being done out in red, the 3rd in orange and the 4th and 5th in purple. The bevelled mirrors are embedded in the walls, the headboards are crystal-shaped and the bedside lamps echo the opaque colours. The bathrooms, meanwhile, are beautiful and colourful (again, the colour scheme varies depending on the floor) and come with a hair-dryer, bathrobes and slippers (in the Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites only) and a selection of Keiji hospitality products. The bathrooms in the Deluxe rooms are particularly nice, one fitted with a jacuzzi bath whilst the other comes with an old-fashioned bathtub, as well as an Italian-style shower and customised washbasins. Other amenities include individual air-conditioning, a flat-screen television, a mini-bar and a safe. Bear in mind, too, that room 32 is the only one that has a little terrace.

    Overview 7.50 /10

Between its all-marble entrance and the 100kg+ of crystal on display, the Cristal is clearly no ordinary hotel, and so much the better! Following renovation works lasting 18 months, the hotel opened in September 2009. The lobby and corridors of the hotel are adorned with both polished and unpolished crystal, artfully displayed with plenty of colour, brightly-coloured armchairs, clever combinations of materials (velvet/marble) and a crystal fresco, and a selection of sweets is also provided. This, as you can imagine, is what gives the hotel its very strong identity. The hotel bar, just behind the reception area, is open 24 hours a day and serves wine, champagne, beers and soft drinks (but no spirits). The breakfast room on the basement level is also worth a look, its initially black surroundings (walls and tables) livened up with brightly-coloured chair backs, a customised fuchsia pink bench seat and, to the rear, a stone wall where each stone is painted a different colour. The Wi-Fi here is free and whilst there's no internet corner as such, there is a laptop guests can borrow should they so wish.

    To know

The design of the hotel is the work of Swiss designer Mattia Bonetti and architect Philippe Medioni. This hotel has a theme, that theme, unsurprisingly, being crystal.

This is a hotel full of French style in which no copies or reproductions will be tolerated. The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.
