    Location 6.83 /10

    16/20
The Hibiscus is located just a few metres away from Place de la République, which this is pretty much the only reason to book a room here. The location is great whatever the reason for your stay in Paris as it stands in the middle of several areas, all very different from one another. To the north, the Canal Saint Martin peacefully flows to La Villette, and a stroll along its banks is really very pleasant. A short walk will take you to rue Oberkampf and its many bars. The Bastille is also only a short distance away, and at night you can join the throngs of party-goers pouring in and out of the trendy bars and restaurants in the area. The 3rd arrondissement and the Marais neighbourhood begin just on the other side of Place de la République, and are home to many interesting places to visit, such as numerous museums and the famous Place des Vosges. So if it's a bit of culture you're after, you won't be disappointed by the area! The hotel is close to the Cirque d'Hiver and the Bataclan, two of the capital's legendary concert halls, where many different famous artists perform. Boulevard Richard Lenoir, in the direction of Place de la Bastille, is the place to go on Thursdays and Sundays if you want to discover the authentic side of Paris.

    Accommodation 4.95 /10

The hotel has 26 guest rooms, mainly consisting of doubles but with a few triple rooms as well. They are sparsely furnished, with only basic units provided for you to be able to empty some clothes out of your suitcase and put a few things on the bedside table. The only hint of modernity is the parquet flooring. The bathrooms are small spaces lined from floor to ceiling with tiles, which is hardly the height of excitement in terms of decor. The rooms and the rest of the hotel lack the kind of charm that will persuade you to linger long after waking in the morning.

    Overview 5.70 /10

The Hibiscus is a depressingly basic hotel. It offers nothing more and nothing less than what you might expect of a hotel: somewhere to leave your suitcase and get some sleep. It has no soul or charm, and is not very welcoming either. There are absolutely no decorative features to speak of. There is a dark little breakfast room down in a small recess off the hallway. This hotel doesn't really offer anything to get excited about, but given the prices of the rooms and such a central location, it is always almost fully booked up, so why bother making an effort with the appearance of the place?

The interesting location of this hotel, close to Place de la République, shouldn't be this hotel's sole advantage. The Bristol hotel is a very basic place, displaying no character whatsoever, and its little colourful rooms give the illusory impression that they are charming. You will come to this hotel to sleep, and not for its decor.

This is a hotel full of French style in which no copies or reproductions will be tolerated. The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.

The Meurice is an exclusive haunt. the hotel's main restaurant, Le Meurice, is headed by 3 Michelin star Chef Yannick Alléno which is, needless to say, one of the highlights of a stay at the hotel. In a fantastic location right opposite the Jardin des Tuileries, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable.
