    Location 8.29 /10

    7/10
This hotel is located in a fantastic area full of charm at the very heart of the Latin Quarter. You will undoubtedly be enthralled by the bohemian spirit of the narrow pedestrian streets in the surrounding area. How can you not get lost and carried away by the throngs of people strolling about the streets that make up this village-like neighbourhood? The hotel is at the crossroads of Paris' 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th arrondissements and thus offers the chic and trendy atmosphere of the Latin Quarter and Saint-Germain des Prés at its doorstep. What's more, the most impressive monuments of Paris, the ones that have made its reputation, are only half a mile away: Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre museum, and the Musée de Cluny medieval museum are just a few examples. The beautiful areas of the 5th and 6th arrondissements and the narrow streets surrounding the Panthéon can be visited on foot, but if you're after an invigorating stroll and some fresh air, head for the pathways of the Jardin du Luxembourg. As for transport, the RER B connects both airports, and lines 4 and 10 of the metro are not far from the hotel. There are 3 Vélib' stations (public bike hiring system) in the neighbourhood, one of which is a hundred metres away in the same street.

    Accommodation 6.45 /10

The Home Latin offers simple triple rooms and one quadruple room. The best thing about this hotel, as well as being its major asset, is its well-appointed rooms for three. They include two separate units: a bedroom with a single bed and another bigger room with a double bed, separated by a door and a corridor. Thus all of the occupants are not crammed together in the same space and can enjoy relative privacy. The only room for 4 is located on the 6th floor and cannot be reached by lift (which stops at the 5th floor). This unit includes 2 proper independent bedrooms separated by a door and dividing walls. The rooms are all significantly different in terms of interior decorating, although shared influences are noticeable. The sturdy dark wood furniture typical of the 80s, with sharp angles, is found in every room, but each unit features very different wallpaper. One room is blue, the next is red with patterns, a third one is done in shades of beige ... The hotel has recently been renovated, but has managed to retain a certain vintage look that has aged with grace.

    Overview 6.45 /10

The hotel occupies two buildings that have been joined together. It therefore has two separate and independent lifts. A simple and well kept establishment, this hotel provides a friendly welcome. The spacious lobby features a reception desk and a side room that serves as a sitting room, furnished with comfortable sofas and a computer that guests may use for an extra charge. The breakfast room is located at the rear of the building, and is rather small and dark, with no natural lighting. A very copious buffet is served for breakfast. Given its location in the Latin Quarter, the hotel is always fully booked several months in advance, and sometimes the welcome can be quite cold.

Located in a building that dates from the late 19th century, this hotel, which opened its doors in 2001, is reminiscent of an English library with its leather chairs and checkered wallpaper. In the centre of the golden triangle of Paris universities, close to the prestigious College de France, the hotel seems to be a mandatory stop-off point for professors and people visiting the capital. The hotel's international clientele is very diverse and essentially consists of couples and families.

The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.

In a fantastic location right opposite the Jardin des Tuileries, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable.
