Well equipped as usual, this Novotel has banked on a cosy interior in the common areas. You don't have to worry about the noise from the neighbouring train station since the hotel is perfectly soundproofed.
Rue du Cotentin is a very quiet street. The hotel is surrounded by 3 metros stations on 2 lines, making it easy to get around Paris. The neighbourhood is also home to many restaurants serving all kinds of food (Korean, Italian, brasseries, bistros...) and suited to any type of budget, so don't hesitate to walk around for a bit. You shouldn't find yourself short of shopping options either, what with Rue de Rennes and the Galeries Lafayette Montparnasse shopping centre nearby.
The hotel's 199 guest rooms are decorated in the same basic way as other Novotel establishments: a double bed, a sofa bed (already made), a convertible office corner, and all of this in neutral colours with modern lines in a completely contemporary style. The Novation rooms are simpler and include a separate shower and bathtub, individual air-conditioning, a safe, a mini-bar with a courtesy tray, and a hair-dryer. The 14 executive rooms are bigger and include a shower or a bathtub (with bathrobes and slippers in any case) and are equipped with a Nespresso machine and a courtesy bottle of sparkling water. There are also 2 suites that have a sitting room section and a bedroom section, and each has a furnished terrace that commands a view of the rooftops of Paris. They also feature two flat-screen TVs, a stereo, and a minibar, which is included in the price. The bathroom includes separate showers and a bathtub with bathrobes and slippers. The hotel is incredibly well soundproofed, which is fortunate since the neighbourhood is very noisy with the ring road not far off. However, you won't hear a thing in your room, but you won't be able to open the windows either.
The hotel is a towering bloc that you cannot miss in this little street. The size of the building can be a bit daunting but the welcome and facilities are up to the standards of a proper Novotel. The lobby is very welcoming, with large sofas, simple lines, and pleasant colours. It's a place where you could spend your entire day hard at work. In any case, it has all the required facilities: free Internet access with Wi-Fi, an Internet corner in the lobby, and an X Box available to children and adults alike. The hotel boasts no fewer than 4 conference rooms, 3 of which benefit from natural daylight, and newspapers are provided in the lobby. If you need to unwind even more, there is a gym that's open from 9:00am to 9:00pm, with a treadmill, a weight-lifting apparatus, and a stationary bike. The hotel has a private paying car park.
The Novotel Café is the hotel's restaurant and bar located on the ground floor and comprises two separate areas: the bar that faces the reception desk and the restaurant to the right of the bar. One of the specialties on the menu is the meat and fish cooked 'à la plancha' (grilled on a metal plate), which gives them a particular flavour. In addition to the specials, which change daily, there are organic starters, main courses, and desserts offered à la carte. The interior of the room is pretty, and there is even includes a covered terrace. The menu is also quite affordable, since it ranges from £11 to £15. The restaurant section is open from 12:00pm to 2:30pm and from 7:00pm to 10:30pm. The bar is open from 7:00am to midnight. This is a very welcoming spot where guests at the hotel like to meet up. You will appreciate being able to get snacks at all hours of the day and night.
The position of Novotel as far as children's accommodation is concerned makes it worthwhile for families to stay: children under 16 accompanied by their parents or grandparents can stay and eat for free. If an additional room is needed for them, the price of the room will be discounted by 50%.

Satisfaite .

This hotel is perfect for business travellers looking to stay in this particular area and for whom practicality is the priority. This hotel is to be avoided if you are hoping to stay somewhere 'authentic'.
This hotel was partly renovated two years ago, giving it the feel of two different hotels, and offers all the services you would expect of this category of accommodation. It is also well-located for those travelling out of Montparnasse station.
This pleasant 2-star establishment offers easy access to Montparnasse train station.
As per usual with Ibis hotels, this one is a small, well-equipped, and convenient hotel that provides a welcoming atmosphere.
An unpretentious but clean establishment just a stone's throw from Montparnasse station.
A fine hotel with a modern, customised style just next to Pernety.
This fine, sophisticated hotel has recently been renovated in a modern but simple style. The colours and furnishings are full of warmth and sophistication.
Hotel Pullman Paris Montparnasse is a large building in the shadow of the Montparnasse train station. Despite the fact that the exterior is far from inviting, all the necessary steps have been taken to give the interior the level of comfort expected by the Pullman brand. The hotel is characterised by the contemporary design of it lobby, its central location, its proximity to the railway station, and its level of comfort following international standards. It is mostly frequented by guests on business, but it also accommodates families or couples visiting Paris.
This is a hotel full of French style in which no copies or reproductions will be tolerated. The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.
The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.
The latest Parisian palace to open its doors on 1 August 2014. The French chic and sophistication goes perfectly with the Asian elegance in the magnificent building dating from 1908. This is the Peninsula Group's first hotel to open in France but also in Europe.
The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.
It took five Haussmanian buildings to bring the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme into existence, and it is the first luxury hotel in Paris to be designed in a contemporary fashion. Comfort, style and impeccable service all come together here in a younger, more modern setting.
Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.
At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.
Confidentiality is the order of the day at this very upmarket establishment, perfect for VIPs looking for a little discretion, and private events are also held here.
The Meurice is one of Paris's best addresses. With its contemporary yet quintessentially Parisian décor realised by great names such as Stark and his daughter. The Meurice is an exclusive haunt. the hotel's main restaurant, Le Meurice, is headed by 3 Michelin star Chef Yannick Alléno which is, needless to say, one of the highlights of a stay at the hotel. In a fantastic location right opposite the Jardin des Tuileries, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable.
