If you're looking for somewhere unique where you can experience strange sensations, then Sezz is the place for you! You may find it hard to get your bearings in this poorly-lit hotel, what with the trendy ambience of the bar, countered by the elegance and class of the guest rooms.

    Location 4.33 /10

The Sezz stands on a quiet street just 5 minutes from the Trocadéro and the Palais de Chaillot, with line 6 of the metro system and Passy station also nearby.

    Accommodation 8.20 /10

The most interesting thing about the Sezz is its guest rooms, where you'll find the bed in the centre of the room and the bathroom concealed behind a glass door or even a wardrobe door! The walls are a very classy combination of Cascais stone and anthracite with a bluish sheen, the bed and the desk well-designed with clean-cut lines and the flat-screen televisions also look perfectly at home in these functional and aesthetically-pleasing surroundings. The beds are also equipped with memory foam mattresses. The bathrooms, for their part, are highly original, particularly the washbasins! With the water coming out from a corner turned-down like the page of a book, you'll certainly be kept on your toes here! The deep, square, anthracite marble bathtubs are also extremely elegant, and Khiel's hospitality products, bathrobes, slippers and a hair-dryer are, of course, also provided, not to mention the little metallic box of vodka-flavoured chocolates placed on the bed! Wi-Fi is included and room service is available 24 hours a day. Standard rooms have an area of 24m2 and whilst the layout may vary, all are decorated in the same style, playing on spatial and material references. There is also a suite and a loft overlooking the Eiffel Tower on the top floor of the hotel.

    Overview 8.70 /10

On the ground floor of the hotel you'll find two symmetrical lounges separated by a sectioned partition system, providing cosy surroundings with black walls, red sofas and very low wooden tables. There is even a Starckian influence in the form of windows tinted in shades of red and large translucent vases of bamboo. One of the lounges also serves as a reception and is where check-in takes place, whilst the other is more conducive to relaxation. The bar, which is also open to non-residents, is affiliated with Veuve Clicquot, which is why it features champagne bottle-shaped alcoves where you can sit and enjoy a drink, perched on a candy-pink leather bench seat! This is also where breakfast, which consists of a buffet of oriental products, is served. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but guests do have the option of ordering in light meals. The enveloping semi-darkness of the hotel also conceals a hammam, a room with a few weights and fitness mats, a walk-in shower and, most importantly, a large jacuzzi with real bubbles! The Sezz also has a car park and offers a valet service.

    Food and drink

Location: 15 Given its location, just a stone's throw from the Quais de Seine (a major thoroughfare), there aren't a great deal of eateries in this part of town. The Maison de la Radio and the many public concerts and recording sessions held there is just 10 minutes away.

    To know

Since it opened in its current form in 2005, the hotel has attracted a young, often an English-speaking clientele, staying here for either business or pleasure. Christophe Pillet's design style is resolutely modern, the furnishings and amenities found here designed to revitalise the traditional hotel concept. The architecture, too, has been very carefully thought-through, with volume helping to create unique spaces with their own particular appeal. The structure of the Haussmanian building has also been preserved and beautiful photos are now displayed showing what the building looked like before its renovation.

This Mercure hotel in a great location just next to the Champ de Mars and Eiffel Tower offers conventional comfort worthy of the biggest hotels in the Accor hotel chain. There is a surprising contrast between the plain, uncluttered guest rooms and the common areas of the hotel, like the restaurant and bar, whose decor makes a much more adventurous statement.

A sound piece of advice; don't come here! Other than its proximity to the Trocadéro and its gardens, it's hard to find anything good to say about an establishment that has so little to offer service-wise. The lack of organization and the discord among staff are far too apparent.

The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.

The Meurice is an exclusive haunt. the hotel's main restaurant, Le Meurice, is headed by 3 Michelin star Chef Yannick Alléno which is, needless to say, one of the highlights of a stay at the hotel. In a fantastic location right opposite the Jardin des Tuileries, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable.
