    Location 7.69 /10

The hotel stands in a historically legendary section of Paris on the same street as Paris-La Sorbonne University where the events of Mai '68, which changed the face of France, began. Peace has since been restored in the neighbourhood and it remains very popular among young Parisians. It boasts a plethora of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and Montagne Ste Geneviève and the Panthéon, one of the city's major landmarks, is just a short climb away. Not far from the hotel, you can walk to the most beautiful park in Paris, the Jardin du Luxembourg, and if you fancy a bike ride, there is a Vélib' station for renting bikes right in front of the hotel. The RER line and the Luxembourg station are a good option here, but if you would prefer to use the metro, the nearest station is Maubert Mutualité.

    Accommodation 6.95 /10

Both the size of the 61 guest rooms and the common rooms themselves are rather conventional, with fairly standard decor which some may find rather disappointing. Having said that, the amenities are perfectly decent and include individual air-conditioning, a fully-stocked mini-bar, a free safe and free Wi-Fi, but there is no room service for those who wish to dine in in the evening. Tucked up against the wall on the desk is a wall-mounted flat-screen satellite television, whilst the bathrooms come with both a shower and a bathtub. It is worth noting that the rooms overlooking the street have a balcony. There is also a bar serving soft and alcoholic drinks late at night.

    Overview 7.45 /10

Behind the unusual tinted glass facade of the building lies the hotel lobby, a sort of journey through time where your time machine gets stuck on the Middle Ages. Reflecting the area's heritage, including the Thermes de Cluny ruins and the Arènes de Lutèce, the decor here consists of carved-stone walls, tapestries depicting hunting scenes, a suit of armour here, a halberd there, but there are nevertheless a few comfortable, modern sofas arranged around the old fireplace and in the neighbouring lounge area, which has a large picture window overlooking the incredibly well-appointed private inner courtyard.

Located in a building that dates from the late 19th century, this hotel, which opened its doors in 2001, is reminiscent of an English library with its leather chairs and checkered wallpaper. In the centre of the golden triangle of Paris universities, close to the prestigious College de France, the hotel seems to be a mandatory stop-off point for professors and people visiting the capital. The hotel's international clientele is very diverse and essentially consists of couples and families.

This is a hotel full of French style in which no copies or reproductions will be tolerated. The Bristol is one of the few luxury hotels in Paris that belongs to a European family (German) rather than one of the great families of Asia or the United Arab Emirates. Stylish, classy and refined, the Bristol holds great importance in the quality and authenticity of its features and materials. Its gourmet restaurant attracts a demanding clientele that is fond of excellent cuisine.

The George V is one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces in the city. You barely have to cross the threshold before realising you are entering a hotel in which luxury, perfection and indulgence are the name of the game. Boasting rooms fit for a princess, impressive lounges and a Michelin-starred restaurant, the George V ticks all the boxes when it comes to satisfying even the most demanding of guests. The interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon oversaw the complete refurbishment of the building in 1997, and has since then continued to make improvements to the decor in the 18th Century style.

The latest Parisian luxury hotel, the Shangri-La will seduce a demanding clientele that will know how to appreciate the richly ornate Empire style of this particular hotel. Nothing more can be said about the lengths taken to find the materials, designs, and other accessories that contribute to recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century, while at the same time offering the comfort and modernity of the 21st century. This extremely shiny and ornate Empire style may scare away some potential guests, however, it is still a real privilege to stay in this residence previously owned by a prince, the great nephew of Napoleon.

Inaugurated on 28 February 2012, the W Paris - Opera has finally opened in the City of Light. The Starwood brand linked to fashion and trends thus has its own prestigious establishment in Paris.
Nestled in a 19th century building, the hotel is in a great location. Design and modernity, with a conceptual touch, all come together here. Its designer is in the best position to explain why, since we're not sure it's really clear otherwise, but the W Paris-Opera is centred around the theme The Spark. The establishment thus defines itself as a "spark", creating a fictitious connection between the very first W hotel in New York and its newest sibling in Paris.

At the heart of the Opera district, the W can already rely on its guests who are fans of the brand and hopes that word of mouth will make it the place to be in the area; not just for its rooms but for its restaurant and bar as well.

The Meurice is an exclusive haunt. the hotel's main restaurant, Le Meurice, is headed by 3 Michelin star Chef Yannick Alléno which is, needless to say, one of the highlights of a stay at the hotel. In a fantastic location right opposite the Jardin des Tuileries, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable.
